Why a booth without a programme loses visitors

At a trade fair, seconds decide. Visitors walk past your booth, the hall is loud, your competitor stands three metres away. A fixed programme slot gives people a reason to stay: a product demo on the hour, a short expert interview, a talk with a customer on stage.

That is the job of a trade fair moderator. She announces, guides the demo, draws visitors in with questions and hands warm contacts over to your booth team. Your sales people sell, the moderator holds the stage.

Jasmin Wölke knows both sides of that handover. She spent more than ten years at Bosch in international sales and marketing, so she knows how a trade fair appearance is measured internally: contacts, conversations, visibility with a professional audience.

Product shows with live demos: a real example

At the Bosch Power Tools Innovation Day, Jasmin guided six product launches in front of more than 200 guests. Product presentations, live demos and interactive Q&A rounds with the development team, all in one day. That format translates directly to fair stages: show the product, involve the audience, collect questions, lead into a booth conversation. Details are on the references page.

Bilingual hosting for international fair audiences

At international fairs, the audience rarely comes from one country. Jasmin hosts in English, in German or switching between both, depending on who is in front of the stage. At the Bosch Global Sales Summit she guided a programme with over 500 participants from 40 countries. She also spoke at herCAREER, Germany's largest career fair for women.

Fair locations: Cologne, Frankfurt and all of Germany

Jasmin works across Germany with a focus on the big fair cities. In Cologne with Koelnmesse, home of Gamescom, dmexco and FIBO; she has experience with gaming and digital formats at Gamescom. In Frankfurt with Messe Frankfurt, one of the largest trade fair companies in the world, and the Kap Europa congress centre.

How booking works for your fair

You send the fair name, dates and booth concept through the contact form. In the briefing you define products, target groups, programme rhythm and language. Jasmin prepares your products in detail and aligns with your booth team and the technical crew on site. The three cooperation packages are described on the services page; for a broader comparison, read book a moderator. For corporate events and galas away from the fair hall there is a separate page: event moderator.

Frequently asked questions

What does a trade fair moderator cost?
It depends on the number of fair days, the programme volume and the preparation. One day of booth moderation with a fixed schedule costs less than a multi-day fair with daily product shows. After the briefing you receive a written offer; travel and accommodation are listed separately.
Does she moderate the whole fair day or single slots?
Both work. Most exhibitors book fixed programme blocks, for example product shows at set times with interviews in between. The rhythm is matched to your booth space and goals in the briefing.
Can the booth programme run in English?
Yes. Jasmin hosts in English, in German or bilingually, switching as needed. For international trade fairs the switch is often the best choice because it leaves nobody in the audience behind.
Does the moderator run the product demo herself?
She guides the demo and turns it into a conversation: she asks the questions the audience would ask and brings your experts in. At the Bosch Power Tools Innovation Day, six launches ran this way with live demos and Q&A.
How early should you book for a trade fair?
As soon as the fair dates and booth space are fixed. Fair weeks concentrate many events in one city, so good moderators go first. Three to six months of lead time is common; short-notice requests are still worth sending.
Which fairs and stages has Jasmin Wölke worked on?
She spoke at herCAREER, Germany's largest career fair for women, has experience with gaming and digital formats at Gamescom in Cologne and hosted product launch formats like the Bosch Power Tools Innovation Day. Details are on the references page.
