Jasmin Wölke moderates conferences, conventions and congresses in English and German. At the International Business Summit she was the main host, leading two days with 15 sessions and more than 400 participants.
What makes a conference different from an evening event
A conference lives on content. The audience comes for talks, discussions and exchange, not for a show. Moderation therefore has to do more than announce names. It keeps the thread between sessions, sums up what should stick, and builds bridges from one talk to the next.
Then there is the clock. Conference programmes are tightly timed, and a talk that runs ten minutes over eats the coffee break. A good conference moderator protects the schedule without embarrassing speakers. She runs Q&A rounds so that real questions get through, not second lectures from the floor.
How Jasmin prepares a conference
Preparation starts with the programme. Jasmin works through the agenda, topics and speaker list and clarifies in the briefing what the conference should achieve. For technical topics she talks to individual speakers in advance, so that introductions and follow-up questions land.
Her background is unusual for a moderator: more than ten years at Bosch in international sales and marketing. She has sat in the meetings where conference topics are born. That is why she can ask a real follow-up question where others just hand over the microphone.
On the day she aligns with the director and the technical crew and runs a rehearsal. After that her attention belongs to the room: opening, transitions, Q&A, summaries, closing.
Congresses across several days
The bigger the congress, the more continuity matters. Jasmin hosted the Digital Transformation Conference bilingually: three days, more than 600 participants, 20 speakers, topics from AI to the future of work. At the Global Sales Summit for Bosch she led three days of keynotes, panels and interactive sessions for more than 500 participants from 40 countries. All projects are listed under references.
For multi-day formats there is a dedicated package with continuous coordination on and behind the stage, described on the services page. Panel discussions within the conference get their own briefing; how that works is explained on the panel discussion page.
In German, English or switching between both
Conferences increasingly have international audiences. Jasmin moderates in German, in English or bilingually, switching as the programme requires. She hosted the SAP Tech Leadership Forum entirely in English, with eight panels in front of more than 300 executives. More on the page English-speaking moderator.
She works throughout Germany. How a booking works, from enquiry to conference day, is described on the page book a moderator. For internal formats such as town halls or kick-offs there is a separate page: corporate event moderation. And if the opening of your conference still needs an impulse, Jasmin delivers the keynote herself, on leadership, communication and transformation.
