Does a Christmas party need a host?
A dinner with colleagues does not. But as soon as the party has a programme, it needs someone to hold it: welcome, management speech, a look back at the year, honours for long-serving employees, maybe an act from the team, then music. Without guidance, such an evening frays. Speeches start while half the room queues at the buffet, honours drown in the noise, and at 9 pm the board wonders when their part was supposed to happen.
A host gives the evening a frame. She gathers the room when it starts, announces every item so that people listen, and closes the official part before it gets too long. The most important effect: the management does not have to run the evening. They give their speech and then get to be hosts among guests.
What Jasmin takes over on such an evening
Before the party she aligns the running order, speech slots and music with you and goes through the honours: names, years of service, pronunciation, sequence. On the evening she opens, guides through speeches, review and honours, introduces programme items and hands over cleanly to the band or DJ. She absorbs delays without the room noticing.

Bilingual, when your team is international
In many companies, the Christmas party brings together a team from several countries. Jasmin hosts in English, in German or switching between both, so nobody just smiles along politely. Company Christmas parties squeeze into three or four weeks between late November and mid December. If you want a host, ask early, ideally as soon as venue and date are fixed.
