Jasmin Wölke facilitates workshops, strategy offsites and leadership sessions in Graz, in English and in German. As an external moderator she keeps the discussion neutral and guides the team towards decisions that carry names and deadlines.
When development, production and research plan together
Business in Graz runs on long horizons. A powertrain project spans years, an industrial plant is operated for decades, and a research cooperation with TU Graz thinks in funding periods. At the same time, the transformation of mobility is reshaping exactly the industries that carry the city: powertrain development, vehicle production, plant engineering, plus the Green Tech Valley ambition of Styria. When a leadership team from this environment goes into a closed session, the questions on the table are hard ones. Which competencies do we build, which products are phased out, where does the investment budget go? Rounds like these do not need feel-good facilitation. They need a structure in which uncomfortable positions get said out loud. Jasmin makes sure the quiet objection from the second row is heard as clearly as the voice of the division head, and she stops the loop when the same argument circles back a third time.
The method: from pre-talks to a decision list
Before the session, Jasmin clarifies the decision question and its boundaries with the client. What is up for debate, what is already fixed? For sensitive topics she holds individual pre-talks with key people. In the room she splits the day into blocks with visible interim results, separates analysis from decision and locks in each resolution before the next topic opens. At the end there is a list of decisions, owners and deadlines that survives the first working day after the offsite. She has applied this approach at the SAP Top Leadership Forum, a corporate reference from the leadership circle of a global company.
The right setting in Graz
Many teams deliberately leave their own building for an offsite, so nobody slips back into daily business between two working blocks. Graz offers conference hotels in the city and quiet venues in the surrounding countryside. If international executives or project partners take part, Jasmin moderates in English and German in planned alternation, with the language plan fixed before the date. She travels from Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart the day before, so the workshop starts without travel risk. What a good preparation call should cover is shown in the briefing checklist. The format itself is described by the hub workshop moderation, and all Graz engagements are collected on the Graz city page.
