Jasmin Wölke facilitates workshops and offsites in Hamburg, in English, in German or switching between both. She leads the room towards results that hold, not towards a photo wall full of sticky notes.
Hanseatic teams want substance
Hamburg rooms are polite but hard to impress. Arrive with a fireworks display of methods and you lose the group within twenty minutes. The city's industries think in long lines: logistics and the maritime economy around Hapag-Lloyd and HHLA, aviation with Airbus in Finkenwerder and Lufthansa Technik, retail and consumer goods with Otto Group, Tchibo and Beiersdorf, plus the publishing houses of SPIEGEL and ZEIT. In these companies workshops are working sessions, not team events. Jasmin therefore uses methods sparingly, as tools for a concrete question. Progress comes from clear working assignments, visible interim results and the courage to call for decisions.
Rooms between Handelskammer and Kampnagel
The venue shapes the session. The Handelskammer stands for classic business formats with board participation, Kampnagel for a more open working atmosphere, and there are spaces in the Speicherstadt and HafenCity as well. In the briefing Jasmin clarifies what signal the room should send, then plans the day backwards from the outcome: what must be decided by the end, what is merely information, where does the disagreement need time. Many Hamburg teams work internationally, and at shipping lines and in aviation English is everyday practice. Jasmin facilitates and documents in both languages. At Bosch she was responsible as a director for workshop formats across markets in Europe and the Middle East, leading a team of 100 people. That experience comes from her corporate career, not from Hamburg client work, but it shows how she turns distributed teams into one working basis.
Travel that is planned in
From Stuttgart, Jasmin flies to Hamburg in around one hour fifteen minutes. For early starts she arrives the evening before, and travel and accommodation costs are listed separately in the offer. When picking a date, a look at the city calendar helps, for example the Hafengeburtstag port festival in May.
From briefing to a list of results
Before the session Jasmin clarifies goal, participants and lines of conflict. From that she builds an agenda with working blocks and buffers. At the end stands a list of results with owners and next steps. More about the city is on the Hamburg city page, the format is explained on the workshop facilitation page, and the preparation is structured by the briefing checklist.
