Munich hosts conferences in venues with distinct profiles: the ICM Internationales Congress Center right at the trade fair grounds for large conventions, the MOC and the Munich Technology Center for industry and technology formats, the Alte Kongresshalle for a classic setting, the Gasteig HP8 for programmes with a cultural touch. The venue says a lot about what the audience expects. Jasmin reads that during the briefing and adjusts pace and tone accordingly, from a plenary with a thousand guests to an expert forum with fifty.
A corporate city that meets at decision maker level
With BMW, Siemens, Allianz and Munich Re, several global players are headquartered in the city, joined by tech, consulting, engineering and media. The stages are staffed accordingly: many Munich conferences discuss strategy in front of an audience that makes decisions for a living. It wants precise introductions, smart follow up questions and summaries that capture what matters.
Fifteen sessions in two days: her reference
A corporate reference shows what a packed conference programme demands: at the International Business Summit, Jasmin guided more than 400 participants through two days and fifteen sessions, alternating between German and English. Programmes like this live on clean handovers, tight slots and a moderator who organises content instead of standing in front of it. Her understanding of the organiser's side comes from more than ten years in international corporate business at Bosch.
Calendar, preparation, travel
Munich's calendar is tight: trade fair weeks such as bauma or IAA Mobility fill hotels across the city, and from mid September to early October the Oktoberfest ties up rooms and suppliers on top. Conference planners therefore secure dates and room allotments early. Preparation includes a call on goals and agenda, short alignments with the speakers and a running order with reserves at the critical points.
