Jasmin Wölke moderates trade fair appearances in Karlsruhe: booth stage programmes, product presentations and in-house exhibitions, in German and English. From her base in Ludwigsburg she reaches the fairgrounds in about an hour, bringing more than ten years of corporate experience at Bosch, SAP and Volkswagen.
Trade visitors in Rheinstetten, client days on site
The exhibition grounds sit just outside the city in Rheinstetten, with the dm-arena as the largest hall. Over the year, very different communities gather here: digital learning at LEARNTEC, public transport at IT-TRANS, rehabilitation and care at REHAB, an art crowd at art KARLSRUHE. An exhibitor running a stage has to tailor the programme to exactly that audience. A slot that works at one fair falls flat at the next.
Then there is the second, often underrated variant: the in-house exhibition. Many companies in the region prefer to bring customers to their own site, show products right at the production line and save the booth rental. There too, a tight programme decides whether visitors stay engaged or drift towards the car park.
What a booth programme has to deliver
Jasmin plans every trade fair engagement backwards from its goal. Before the event she agrees with sales and marketing what a slot should achieve: leads at the booth, a full demo area, conversations with decision makers. From that she builds a run of show with short segments, clean handovers to the experts at the stand and time for questions from the floor. On stage she keeps the pace up, pulls passers-by into a running conversation and hands warm contacts over to the booth team.
The Innovation Day for Bosch Power Tools, a corporate reference, shows what that looks like in practice: six product launches in one day, each with a live demo, and no dead air between segments. At fairs with an international trade audience she switches to English or summarises bilingually; the language plan is fixed before the first slot.
Close by, even for short slots
A fair day is long, a stage slot is short. The short distance from Ludwigsburg pays off twice: Jasmin joins the rehearsal on set-up day and is at the booth well before the first segment on fair day. For multi-day fairs, single days can be booked; for in-house exhibitions, even half days. Ideas for the stage are collected on the page booth programme ideas. The hub page trade fair moderator covers the format itself, and the Karlsruhe city page covers the city.
