Jasmin Wölke moderates trade fair appearances for companies from Bielefeld and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region: booth programmes at the Bad Salzuflen exhibition centre, at the A2 Forum in Rheda-Wiedenbrück and at the major fairs in Hanover, plus in house fairs and customer days, in German and English.
Three fair locations, three different appearances
Bielefeld itself has no major exhibition grounds. Exhibitors from the region therefore choose between three routes: the exhibition centre in Bad Salzuflen for the regional trade fairs, the A2 Forum in Rheda-Wiedenbrück for compact industry gatherings, and Hanover, a good hour away, for the big international stages. Each location demands its own programme. At a regional fair, people know each other: conversations with existing customers and industry neighbours matter most, and the moderation creates reasons to stop at the booth. In Hanover, by contrast, international trade visitors stream past and decide within seconds whether a booth deserves a second look. Jasmin plans the booth programme for the specific location: pacing, topics and language follow the audience, not the other way round.
From machine tools to tastings
The products of the region could hardly be more diverse: machine tools, fastening technology, facade systems, food, SAP consulting. The formats at the booth differ accordingly. A machine needs a live demonstration with a real application, a software product needs a worked case on screen, a food product needs a tasting with the story behind it. Before the fair, Jasmin works through with the specialist team what will be shown and which question unlocks the benefit. At the booth she interviews engineers and product owners so that visitors understand the difference without reading a data sheet. At the Bosch Power Tools Innovation Day, a corporate reference with six product launches in a single day, she held exactly this density: fixed slots, clean transitions, no item running over time.
Customer days and in house fairs in the region
Many family businesses in the region prefer to invite rather than exhibit: a customer day in their own production hall, a demo day on site, or an event at the Stadthalle Bielefeld. Such a day works better when someone leads it: welcome, programme items, factory tour and breaks interlock, and the sales team knows exactly when its moment comes. Ideas for programme items are collected in Booth programme ideas. How Jasmin approaches the format in general is on the hub Trade fair moderator, and all pages about the city are on the Bielefeld city page.
