The regional economy adds a twist: for the retail headquarters and their store networks, December is the fullest month of the year, with the whole team deep in the Christmas trade. Many companies therefore deliberately celebrate in mid-December with a smaller circle, or move the big party to January when everyone can breathe again. Both work if the decision is made early.
