Jasmin Wölke moderates summits in Cologne in English and German: invited circles of decision makers, a dense programme, protected time for conversations. She hosted the Bosch Global Sales Summit bilingually across three days, for more than 500 participants from 40 countries.
Cologne venues for an invited circle
A summit invites few guests, but the right ones, and Cologne offers settings in almost every register. The Flora combines representation with quiet corners for side conversations. Dock. One in the Mülheim harbour suits circles that want to signal departure and change. The Wolkenburg lends the executive dinner on the eve a festive frame, and the Excelsior Hotel Ernst gives international guests short paths in the city centre. Arrival is a Cologne strength: the main station sits in the ICE network, international participants land at Cologne Bonn Airport. In the weeks of gamescom, Anuga and carnival, venues and hotels are taken early, which belongs in the date decision.
Few guests, high stakes
A summit is not an open format with walk-in attendance. Everyone in the room was invited personally and counts their time carefully. Off-the-shelf stage announcements do not carry in front of this circle. Jasmin opens with the reason why exactly these people are sitting together, draws one line through keynotes, panels and stage talks, and keeps the breaks free, because that is where the actual business happens. Interviews with board members and founders she prepares with advance calls and her own question list, as described on the page interview and executive talk moderation.
What a Cologne summit brings with it
Cologne is home to media, insurance, retail and gaming, with industry in the surrounding region. When dmexco or gamescom draws the decision makers of an industry into town anyway, a summit on the edge of a trade fair week can reach a guest list that is otherwise never in one place. The Rhineland audience warms up quickly but measures the day by the substance of its conversations. Many guest lists are international; Jasmin moderates in English, in German or alternating, without telling content twice.
Experience and booking
The Bosch Global Sales Summit and the International Business Summit with 15 sessions in front of more than 400 guests are corporate references, not Cologne events. They show the scale Jasmin carries as a moderator. Behind them stand more than ten years at Bosch in international sales and marketing: she has sat in circles like these herself. She reaches Cologne from Stuttgart by ICE in a good two hours. More about the city is on the Cologne city page; the format itself is explained on the summit moderation page.
