Duisburg offers two very different stages for a Christmas party. The Mercatorhalle in the CityPalais stands for the festive city centre setting, with the Christmas market right outside the door. The Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord answers with an industrial counterpoint: Kraftzentrale and Gießhalle, tall halls, raw surfaces, and in December a backdrop with an atmosphere of its own. Add the restaurants along the Innenhafen and company halls for celebrations close to the plant. Which stage fits depends on the occasion: honours in front of a large audience need sightlines and reliable sound, a party in the Gießhalle needs a plan for temperature and acoustics.
