Jasmin Wölke moderates congresses in Munich in English and German, from the plenary stage into the parallel tracks. As lead moderator of the Digital Transformation Conference she stood in front of more than 600 participants across three congress days.
From the ICM to the Alte Kongresshalle
Munich spreads its congresses across venues with distinct profiles. The ICM Internationales Congress Center sits right at the trade fair grounds and carries large multi-day formats. The MOC Veranstaltungscenter works for congresses with exhibition space, the Alte Kongresshalle for a classic setting with history. The Gasteig HP8 adds a cultural venue to the list. Many Munich congresses also attach themselves to a fair: around electronica, ISPO or EXPO REAL, expert forums and conference programmes run for an audience that is in town anyway.
An audience that checks the numbers
Munich congress halls are filled with engineers, developers and specialists from tech, mechanical engineering, insurance and finance. The city is home to BMW, Siemens, Allianz and Munich Re, and the professional bar sits accordingly high. Artificial intelligence and mobility appear on many agendas. This audience tests every statement against its own practice at once. Jasmin therefore prepares with speaker calls, asks questions with substance and follows up when an answer stays too smooth. English carries many international programmes, and she switches between both languages without repeating content.

A congress quickly falls apart into pieces: tracks, workshops, evening events. Dates, travel, booking
The Munich calendar has two tight spots. In trade fair weeks such as bauma or IAA Mobility, hotels are scarce across the city. From mid September to early October, Oktoberfest additionally binds venues and rooms. Both belong in your planning early.
