Festive venues with history
Leipzig makes it easy for a gala. The Gewandhaus on Augustusplatz gives an award ceremony a setting no hotel ballroom can match. The KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo combines historic halls with modern technology, and the city centre adds more venues of character. Places like these lift the evening, but they forgive little: hosting in a concert hall calls for precision rather than party mood, and a programme that takes the room seriously.
The calendar is part of the planning. In December the Christmas market ties up the city centre venues and caterers early, so anyone planning a year-end gala secures location and suppliers months ahead. In spring the book fair pushes into the city's schedule. Jasmin knows this rhythm and helps plan the evening realistically in the briefing.
Dignity and pace in one programme
A gala rarely fails because of the food and often because of the running order: honours that drag, speeches without end, an audience that stops listening after the second course. Jasmin keeps the evening on beat. She opens, guides through categories and honours, gives laudatory speakers a frame and brings winners on stage so the moment belongs to them. What that looks like is shown by the Leadership Excellence Awards gala, a company reference: 250 guests, ten awards, an evening with pace and dignity at once.
The experience behind it comes from more than 500 hosted events and over ten years of corporate responsibility at Bosch, SAP and within the Volkswagen Group. With international guests, Jasmin switches between English and German on the fly, so the whole room shares the same evening.
From the briefing to the final applause
It starts with your message: occasion, date, location. The briefing then shapes the dramaturgy of the evening: order of programme items, speaking times, music, honours and how to handle surprises. On the night itself Jasmin is in the hall early, walks the running order with direction and technology and rehearses the critical moments, from the video insert to the handover of the award. For daytime starts she arrives the evening before.
