December in Mannheim: book early, celebrate relaxed
In December, the Christmas market at the Wasserturm ties up much of the city centre's gastronomy and many of its halls. Anyone still looking for a date then competes with half of Mannheim for rooms, caterers and the popular Friday evenings. So the date comes before the programme: secure day and venue first, then build the evening.
The city has no shortage of settings. The Rosengarten offers festive halls at the Wasserturm, the Capitol brings real stage character, the Barockschloss a historic backdrop for receptions. Many companies in the region deliberately celebrate on their own premises, because the party feels more personal there and the budget flows into the programme instead of the rent. Both work, as long as the moderation takes the setting seriously.
An evening that truly belongs to everyone
The Christmas party is often the one evening of the year when production, engineering and administration sit in the same room.
